Heerlijke (organische) producten van Urtekram

Een merkje dat zijn eerste stapjes zet in België. Het komt overgewaaid uit Scandinavië en als ik dat al hoor, dan wil ik het al helemaal ontdekken. Deze producten zijn Organisch, natuurlijk en hebben veel certificaten. Ik laat je heel graag kennis maken met Urtekram. 

Urtekram verzorgingsproducten

De Urtekram verzorgingsproducten, allemaal natuurlijk, bestaan uit verschillende lijnen en met verschillende geuren en samenstellingen. Ik mocht zelf kiezen welke in graag eens wou testen en eerlijk gezegd heb ik bijna een uur zitten kijken op hun website… Ik kon niet kiezen. ik wou ze allemaal wel eens testen. Ze zijn ook zo mooi vormgegeven…

Camomile

Uiteindelijk koos ik voor de kamille shampoo voor blond haar. Wanneer je je haar ermee wast ruik je de kamille en voel je gewoon dat het natuurlijk is. Je voelt het omdat je haar niet ultra zacht aanvoelt tijdens het wassen door al die synthetische middelen. Ik blijf deze shampoo gebruiken. Het zou een natuurlijke glans geven. Let’s find out.

Rose body butter en scrub

Heerlijk! Deze body scrub is echt zalig. Het doet me en beetje denken aan de sauna van vroeger. Daar stond ook een grote pot met scrub. Heerlijk geurend en mooi verpakt. Ik ben fan! De body butter is leuk om te gebruiken vind ik. Maar ik was vooral verbaasd van hoe mijn huid aanvoelde nadien. Zonder liegen: mijn huis voelde enorm zacht. No kidding! I swear! Toppertje dus.

Babylijn

Ik mocht ook de babylijn proberen. Lex kan natuurlijk niet zeggen wat hij ervan vindt maar te weten dat je je baby aan het wassen bent met natuurlijk producten is al een pluspunt. Bovendien zijn ze geurloos. Ik geloofde dat niet maar jawel… geen geur te bespeuren. Geen parfum dus! Urtekram verzorgingsproducten zijn er dus ook voor baby en kind met hun eigen lijn.

Organic care, certified by Ecocert Greenlife

It is not enough to focus on what we eat. The care products used for our bodies are also of great importance to our health. More and more become aware of that, but some consumers are still quite confused – what should I look for, if I want the purest and healthiest products?

A little about Urtekram’s care products

Since the 1970’s, Urtekram has manufactured pure and natural body and hair care, and we have since the beginning been aware of the fact that the body absorbs everything we treat it with – as it absorbs everything we eat.

Thus, all Urtekram’s care products are:

• Certified organic with the COSMOS ORGANIC certification of Ecocert Greenlife
  Except the Deo Stick (COSMOS Natural)
• Without endocrine disrupting parabens and synthetic preservatives
• Made with vegetable ingredients
• Without petrochemical ingredients
• Not tested on animals

Why COSMOS ORGANIC certified?

Unfortunately, there is no Danish label, or any common EU label for organic care products. Thus, we have chosen to use the COSMOS ORGANIC certification by Ecocert Greenlife. Ecocert Greenlife is probably the most important regulatory body in terms of organic care products, and has some of the most stringent requirements.

Control of ingredients, their purity and origin:

• Min. 20% of the product must be organic
• Raw material must be free of contaminated heavy metals, hydro carbons, pesticides, dioxins, GMO (genetically modified organisms), nitrates and must be manufactured through simple processes
• Minimum 95% of ingredients must be of natural origin
• Minimum 95% of plant components must be organic

Specific strict requirements:

• Synthetic dyes, synthetic perfume, synthetic antioxidants and plasticizers, synthetic oils and fats, ingredients from the oil industry, silicone can be not be used in the products
•  Assess how the environmental performance are developing ( management, legislation, emission and waste)
• Restraints from using aggressive household chemicals when cleaning
• No animal testing allowed
• The packaging must not be contaminated and must be recyclable (PVC, PS and multilayer plastic is forbidden).

Label control:

• It must be clearly indicated, how big a part of the ingredients are of natural and organic origin.
