Op allerlei manieren willen we kinderen stimuleren om goed te eten. We gebruiken leuk servies, kleurrijk eten, figuurtjes en noem maar op. Maar… nu heb ik iets superleuks ontdekt. Ik kwam de “Happy Mat’ van EZPZ tegen en was helemaal verkocht. – We use different things for stimulating our kids to eat better. Fun tableware, colorful food, figures and more. I spotted something very cool: The Happy Mat from EZPZ. 

 

Ik kwam de Happy Mat tegen bij Blabloom, een ecologische webshop die allemaal leuke spullen verkopen voor het moederschap. Allemaal met het oog voor het milieu. Deze Happy Mat is handig in gebruik en is zeer stevig. Hij heeft een heel goede grip onderaan zodat de placemat (want eigenlijk is dit een placemat met kommetje in) niet verschuift of niet zomaar opgepakt kan worden. De Happy Mat heeft 3 verschillende vakjes waar je eten in kan scheiden. Je kan er verschillende makkelijk opstapelen en ze mogen in de microgolf en oven. Handig!

I found this Happy Mat at a Belgian Eco Webshop Blabloom. The Happy Mat is an all-in-one placemat + plate that captures kids’ messes. Another bonus? It suctions directly to the table, making it nearly impossible for tiny hands to tip over. The Happy Mat is designed for infants / toddlers 9+ months. It has portion sizes (i.e., the eyes and smile). They are catered to toddlers at 4oz, 4oz and 10oz. The three compartments remind parents to serve a fruit or veggie, protein and carbohydrate. They have other positive aspects:

Ik sneed een beetje verschillend fruit en zorgde voor een kleurrijke Happy Mat. Vince vond dat wel leuk! Wij mochten met hem mee eten. Deze Happy Mat is ook geschikt als Monkey Platter. Ik hou daar wel van. Zo kunnen we kinderen op een leuke manier gevarieerd eten geven.

I cut some fruit and made a very colorful Happy Mat. Vince loved it. We could join him. This Happy plate is an ideal Monkey Platter. Love it! Like this, we can make sure our kids can have food in a funny way. Maybe it helps kids to eat better…
